David Cassak (@DCassak) has more than 30 years of experience in the healthcare industry. With his partner, Stephen Levin, he launched Innovation in Medtech LLC, publisher of Medtech Strategist and Market Pathways, as well as a series of international conferences.  Cassak co-founded Windhover Information Inc., along with his partner, Roger Longman, in which they spun out exceptional publications such as IN VIVO, START-UP, Medtech Insight, Emerging Medical Ventures and The RPM Report. Cassak also served as Vice President, Content, and Managing Director, Medical Devices for Elsevier Business Intelligence, a Reed Elsevier Company, including the publications The Gray Sheet and The Pink Sheet.  He is a frequent speaker before various companies and trade groups within the medical device industry and is widely known for his vast knowledge and reporting in MedTech. Stephen Levin

Stephen Levin (@StephenLevinMTS) has spent nearly 25 years covering the life sciences industry, writing and speaking primarily on medical technology worldwide. Before Levin and his partner, David Cassak, launched Innovation In Medtech, LLC, the parent company of MEDTECH STRATEGIST and MARKET PATHWAYS, along with international conferences, Levin formerly was Editor-in-Chief/Medical Devices at Elsevier Business Intelligence (EBI).  At EBI, he directed the editorial coverage for the company’s leading medtech publications, including IN VIVO, START-UP, MEDTECH INSIGHT, THE GRAY SHEET, and THE SILVER SHEET, along with the content for the Investment In Innovation (IN3) series of medical device partnering conferences.  He is a frequent speaker at medical device conferences and for companies worldwide on a variety of topics related to the medtech industry. Nancy Dvorin (@NancyDvorin) has been covering the medical device and pharmaceutical industries for 20 years. From 2009-2018, she was the managing editor of In Vivo, a healthcare business publication founded by Windhover Information and later acquired by Informa. Before joining In Vivo, Nancy managed library and information services for a number of multinational corporations. David Filmore (@MedtechDavid) has been covering the medical technology sector as a writer and editor for about 20 years, previously serving as the executive editor/editor-in-chief of industry-leading publications The Gray Sheet and Medtech Insight. He specializes in the regulatory and reimbursement dynamics that impact device and diagnostics companies' ability to succeed in the marketplace. Earlier in his career, David was an editor with the American Chemical Society, producing content for professionals in the pharmaceutical industry and analytical instrumentation space, and he has also worked in the pharmaceutical industry. Mary Stuart (@MaryStuartMTS) has been writing about business issues affecting the medical device industry since 1989, as a founding team member of Windhover Information. There, she was instrumental in the creation of START-UP magazine. She also developed the Strategic Transactions Database and the Health Care Strategist, an annual publication created from the database. For 25 years, through Windhover’s merger into Elsevier Business Intelligence and recently, the latter’s acquisition by Informa PLC, Mary was a regular contributor of articles to IN VIVO and START-UP magazines, with a focus on the business strategies of large companies in the medical device industry, financing and development strategies for venture-backed start-ups and emerging clinical markets. Colin Miller has been covering the medical device space for Medtech Strategist since 2017. Focusing primarily on start-ups, he has written about topics including wound care, cardiovascular health, biologics, and digital healthcare, with a particular passion for highlighting underserved needs in areas such as women's health, addiction, and care for combat veterans. Outside of his work with Innovation in Medtech, LLC, Colin enjoys writing about food, arts & entertainment, and cannabis for various regional blogs. Reed Miller

Senior Editor

Reed is an experienced editor, journalist, and content creator who has been reporting on the medical device and diagnostics industry since joining the news staff of FDC Reports' The Gray Sheet in 2000. Most recently, he served as the commercial/R&D manager for Citeline's Medtech Insight, a digital descendant of The Gray Sheet, helping to shape the overall editorial direction of Citeline's medtech offerings while writing and podcasting extensively about cardiovascular technology. He also wrote for a physician audience as a member of theheart.org's award-winning heartwire team and worked with pharma industry compliance experts at HCPro. Reed has a BA in religion from the College of William & Mary and an MA in philosophy of religion from Boston University. He lives and works in his hometown of State College, Pennsylvania.


Margaret Nelson

Margaret Nelson has over 25 years of experience connecting  life-science industry leaders to the information and analyses they need to make critical business decisions. Margaret spent the majority of her career as a Sales and Solutions Manager at Evaluate Ltd. She has worked for BioCentury, Windover Information, and Skila, as well as provided independent consultation for life-science start-ups and charities.

 

Sandy Corbett

Sandy’s responsibilities include corporate financial reporting, audit, treasury, tax, accounts payable and receivables.  She started her career with Windhover Information in 2001 as Conference Logistics Manager where she was responsible for all of  Windhover’s conference series including IN3, among other responsibilities.

Brenda Belt

Research Analyst

Brenda Belt has been MedTech Strategist’s Research Analyst since 2018. Brenda manages and propagates the company’s CRM system to create sales leads through research and analysis. She began her career in the corporate travel industry for a large midwestern energy firm. After eight years working in travel, Brenda decided to focus more on raising her family and spending time with her kids, while remaining active volunteering for her community. Before joining MedTech Strategist Brenda was working in a medical office streamlining patient charting and other office systems to help maintain and improve efficiency.
